Congratulations on Your Engagement!
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job as a harpist is to observe on a regular basis the magical moments of a marriage ceremony from my front row seat! I am delighted that you are considering live harp music for your upcoming wedding! I love working with couples to create a wedding music experience that is unique and memorable. Since 2006 I have been playing wedding ceremonies ranging from small and intimate to big destination weddings. I truly believe that my harp music can add enormously to the magic of your special day and also the harp will look beautiful in the pictures.
The harp is perfect for any venue, be it a church, country club, home or an outdoor garden. The sound of harp usually caries very well in indoor locations and outdoors I use my sound system.
I will ensure that the music choices for your ceremony come from YOU!
HARP SOLO
Consultation – I meet with each of my brides, about 2 to 3 months prior to the wedding date. The meeting takes place at my house, where I will play live music excerpts for you to decide which ones you prefer for your ceremony. Your fiancé, mom, dad and best friend are welcome to come along to help you with your decision making. If you can’t make it in person, I suggest a phone or Skype consultation. We will go over the entire ceremony. The following are the most common places in the ceremony for live music. You may choose all or some.
Prelude Music (30 min prior to the ceremony)
Processionals
Seating of the Mothers and Grandparents
Bridesmaids
Ring bearer, Flower Girl
Bride
Unity Candle / Sand Ceremony
Communion
Signing of the Register
Special Music
Recessional
Postlude
Once you have made your selections, I will email you the titles and composers in a form that you can just copy and paste into your program.
On your wedding day, I will arrive about an hour and half prior to the ceremony to set up. I also like to talk to your minister and wedding planner (if you have one) just to go over the details. Thirty minutes before the wedding ceremony I will start playing Prelude music as your guests arrive and are being seated right to the point of the first procession and then I will be musically with you until the guests have left the ceremony.
