Dear friends of harp music, I would like to invite you to the following events that include harp music in the upcoming weeks. Tomorrow – Tuesday February 3rd, 2026 Harp and Healing service at Broadway Christian Church at 6.00PM. Come and relax with romantic themed music for Valentine’s Day month and listen to the good word from pastor Andrew Taylor-Peck. The service is 45 minute long, nondenominational and free for all to attend. My students will give a Harp recital at Lenoir Woods Senior Living on Wednesday February 11th at 6.00PM in the Community Center 1. If you have friends who reside there, let them know, or visit! This is a private concert, but we have room for a few visitors! It will be a special night on February 13th, as our students from the Missouri Academy of Music will be playing pre concert music from 6.15 – 6.45 PM in the Missouri Theatre Lobby before the Missouri Symphony concert. The In Love with Opera concert will then start at 7.00PM and I will be playing harp in the orchestra. February 14th – Valentine’s Day is always busy for me and this year I will be proving harp music for Valentine’s Dinner at the Carrollton Country Club. I love playing romantic songs! Looking into March, I look forward to being in Springfield again, playing with the Springfield Symphony in concert on March 7th! Dear friends of harp music, I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! I would like to invite you to my concerts in December. Blue Christmas is a quiet and contemplative annual service at Broadway Christian Church. Gentle Christmas harp music will provide the ambience and spoken word will be crafted in collaboration between Rev. Terry Overfelt and Rev. Andrew Taylor Peck. This service is meant for those for whom December is not necessarily a joyous month. Whether you are dealing with grief over a recent loss of a loved one or a loss that’s not so recent, the sadness seems to resurface around the holidays stronger than ever. Blue Christmas is here to help you start this month and be seen as you are with the burdens you carry. Free and open for all, on Tuesday, December 2nd at 6.00 PM at Broadway Christian Church. Next, I would like to invite you to a special concert that my husband and I are part of with our Cello and Harp duo – 51 Strings. We are preparing a program for the Candlelight Holiday Concert for Odyssey Chamber Music Series. This concert has a special ambiance with hundreds of candles on stage! Dear friends of harp music, I would like to invite you to Harp and Healing service tomorrow – Tuesday, November 7th, 6.00PM at Broadway Christian Church. I am delighted to collaborate on this service with Rev. Terry Overfelt and provide therapeutic musical ambiance to Terry’s healing words. I am grateful to Broadway Christian Church for continuing the tradition of Harp and Healing for its 14th year. Come with your burdens tomorrow and leave lighter. This fall has been busy and will continue so till winter break. Some of my other upcoming performances include MU Wind Ensemble concert tonight at 7.00PM at the Missouri Theatre, Columbia Civic Orchestra concert on Saturday November 1st at 7.00PM at MOUMC, Springfield Symphony Concert on November 8th, at 7.30PM at Hammons Hall in Springfield. Besides public concerts, my weekends are filled with private events and celebrations and I am happy to be part of many joyous wedding ceremonies. You can see pictures from these on my social media, my Facebook page and my Instagram I am currently booking the Holiday season, if you are interested to have harp music at your church or event, let me know! Dear friends of harp music, I would like to invite you to the number of interesting music opportunities through the end of April and in the month of May. First, my husband and I are very proud of our Missouri Academy of music students and the culmination of their hard work this semester can be heard in concert on Sunday, April 27th at 7.00 PM at Broadway Christian Church. Please join us for this admission free concert! A few days leading to this performance, I will be playing with the St. Louis Ballet in their production of Gershwin’s “Who cares?” in St. Louis on April 26th and a matinee on the 27th at the Blanche M.Touhill Performing arts Center. This is a collaboration between the Springfield Symphony and St. Louis Ballet and can also be seen in Springfield on May 3rd. https://www.springfieldmosymphony.org/concert/swonderful/ I would also like to invite you to hear my students play for Curated! Crafter! Created! It’s artisan’s and a small / micro business market at the Columbia Mall on Sunday May 4th. Dear friends of harp music, I want to wish you a Happy New Year! I know it’s February, but I kind of hibernated in January after the busy Holiday season. I also want to extend my invitation to upcoming concerts that feature or include harp this month. Please join me and Pastor Andrew Taylor Peck for Harp and Healing this coming Tuesday February 4th at 6.00PM at Broadway Christian Church. It is a peaceful non denominational service focused on those who are in need of healing – physical, emotional, grief… I will be playing therapeutic music sprinkled with evergreen love songs as it is Valentine’s Day this month. This service is 45 minutes long and free and open to everyone. Speaking of Valentine’s Day – I am honored to be providing background music for special Valentine’s dinner the the Country Club of Missouri this year on February 14th! I am looking forward to being back in Springfield this month, playing Mahler’s 2.Symphony – The Resurrection with the Springfield Symphony. If you have a chance to hear this magnificent work, don’t miss it! Dear friends of harp music, I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! I also want to extend my invitation to upcoming concerts that feature or include harp through the end of this year. First and foremost, please join me tomorrow night- Thursday November 21st for a concert of solo harp music at the Columbia Public Library. It will start at 7.00PM in the Friends’ Room. I will play a variety of music ranging from classical through musical, movie themes and finishing the program with the grand Baroque Flamenco! Dear friends of harp music, I want to invite you to upcoming fall concerts. Harp and Healing – as head into a new season, it is time to change as well. Pastor Terry Overfelt, who was my companion for Harp and Healing services for last several years has retired. With the new ministerial leadership we have decided to make some changes to the service after 13 years of monthly services, we think it’s time to slow down a bit and instead hold these services just a few times a year. We are planning on these dates: October 8th, 6:00PM, Broadway Christian Church December 3rd, 6:00PM, Broadway Christian Church February 4th, 6:00PM Unity Church May 6th, 6:00PM, location TBA I am grateful for your continued support of this ministry. Please join me and welcome Pastor Andrew Taylor Peck next Tuesday for this calming and relaxing service. For the rest of the October, my performances are private events. I had a few lovely ones this September as well, for those of you who follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you may have noted the dinner music in Ancient Greek Style, or a backyard birthday party music and a surprise at home harp and piano performance during a dinner for two. Dear friends of harp music, first, I want to let you know that Harp and Healing which usually happens on first Tuesday of each month was rescheduled to next Tuesday due to several aspects out of our control. This will also be the last Harp and Healing of this season as Pastor Terry Overfelt is retiring at the end of this month. So please come and see us on Tuesday April 9th at 6:00PM at First Baptist Church and wish her farewell! Other exciting projects I am involved in this month include a full ballet production of Sleeping Beauty with the Saint Louis Ballet. The performances are on April 26th, 27th and 28th in Saint Louis.
