Dear friends of harp music,   I hope you had a wonderful relaxing summer! I was able to see my family and friends in Slovakia and England and had a great time visiting, relaxing, hiking and traveling.   I am back in US, performing and teaching and I hope to see you at one of these events :-)   Harp and Healing - tomorrow night, Tuesday September 5th at 6pm. Join us for 45 minutes of uplifting meditations and relaxing music. Bring a friend along to share this experience. It is hard to describe this service that started 12 years ago and continues on every first Tuesday September through May, but someone in the past described it to me as "this felt like a massage for the soul". It's free and open to all. This service will take place in Broadway Christian Church, new starting time this year - 6pm. We are also branching out a bit this year, collaborating with various other churches on this monthly service, so our October Harp and Healing will be at the Rock Bridge Christian Church. If you think your church would be interested in this collaboration in the future, please let me know. On Sunday September 10th, I am happy to return to a wedding venue dear to my heart to meet future brides and tell them about the beauty of live music for their wedding. May 2023 Newsletter

Dear friends of Harp music, With this lovely weather outside, I would love to invite you to events where you will be able to hear the harp in the month of May. Tomorrow, we close our season of Harp and Healing at 5:30 at Broadway Christian Church. Whether are you are in need of healing -  physical, emotional, or healing from grief, or whether you just want to quiet down with calming and relaxing live Harp music and meditations by Pastor Terry Overfelt, you’re more than welcome to attend this free 45 minute long event. The next event I warmly invite you to is happening this Sunday May 7th at 6 PM at Broadway Christian Church. It is a Harp Recital given by all my students! They are all so talented, bringing first and second prize is from the Kansas City Lyra harp competition and the best ratings from the Federation of Music Clubs! I have two graduating seniors whom I have been teaching for last 10 years and this is your last chance to hear them for a while in Columbia! So, don’t miss this chance and come to the Harp recital on Sunday! It will be about an hour in length and you will hear performance on lever harp as well as pedal harp. If you know of anyone, child or adult interested in learning to play the harp, please invite them to this recital. April 2023 Newsletter

Hello friends of harp music,   please join us tomorrow for Harp and Healing at 5.30 pm at Broadway Christian Church Sanctuary. Relax with therapeutic harp music and meditations from our Pastor Terry Overfelt. Rest of this month is pretty busy for me, performing movie scores with the Missouri S&T orchestra in Rolla on April 15th and then with the Springfield Symphony on April 22nd. Both projects very exciting! With the Springfield Symphony we are doing a full production of Swan Lake not only in Springfield, but also in Saint Louis on April 28th, 29th and 30th at Touhill PAC. This is a collaboration of SSO and the Saint Louis Ballet. I am including the STL ballet website in case you want to purchase tickets for one of the STL performances: https://www.stlouisballet.org/swanlake   Here in town, our Missouri Academy of Music will have a Spring concert on April 23rd, 7pm at Broadway Christian Church. February 2023 Newsletter

Dear friends of Harp music, I apologize for not keeping in touch while I was on sabbatical Slovakia last semester. My family and I had a great time, it was really lovely to be close to my family and an amazing experience for the children to attend an international school. We returned right before Christmas and I have been back to performing and teaching since. I would like to let you know of the opportunities to hear my harp this month! As I write this, I am in Springfield getting ready to play a concert with a Springfield Symphony here tonight. https://www.springfieldmosymphony.org/concerts/february/star-crossed-lovers Back in Columbia, I’m looking forward to performing  for romantic evening  on Valentine’s Day at the Old Hawthorne Club. The club provides such a great atmosphere for couples celebrating this special day and I’ve been honored to be part of it for last several years. On February 22nd my harp will be part of Ash Wednesday service at Broadway Christian church at 7 PM. Please join us for this solemn service at the beginning of Lent. I am preparing some very special new music specifically for this service. Some of you may have noticed that while we continued Harp and Healing throughout November with my video submissions from Slovakia, we didn’t continue in December or January. We felt it was difficult to sustain our audience while I was not present in person. May 2022 Newsletter

Dear friends of harp music, I am looking forward to the month of May and the performances it holds as well as finalizing this school year and slowing down my pace this summer! I would like to invite you to Harp and Healing tomorrow evening May 3rd at 5.30pm at Broadway Christian Church. This is the final Harp and Healing of this season, before we take a break for the summer and then start again in September. April 2022 Newsletter

Dear friends of harp music, I hope you are enjoying the signs of spring outdoors! March was a traveling month for me, first going to Slovakia and then to Mexico for spring break, now back to busy teacher and performer life! Please join me tomorrow evening for Harp and Healing tomorrow evening at 5.30pm at Broadway Christian Church. It's a monthly service on the first Tuesday  devoted to reflection, prayer and healing. On Easter Sunday I will be performing at Broadway Christian Church again during the 9am and 11.15am services. March 2022 Newsletter

Dear friends of harp music, A new month is here and I want to invite you to concerts and events that I perform for. It has been difficult last few days as we watched the news of war starting in Ukraine. I have to admit I was kind of paralyzed with disbelief on Thursday. Please accept my humble offering of invitation to Harp and Healing on first Tuesday of the month aka tomorrow evening at 5.30pm at the Sanctuary of Broadway Christian Church. It's 45 minutes of live harp music and prayers and readings provided by BCC minister Terry Overfelt. This coming Saturday, I will be playing with the Springfield Symphony. It's been so nice to be back to orchestral performing! One of my favorite pieces is on the program, so that's even more exciting! Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances! Dear friends of harp music, I want to wish you a beautiful Advent season and hope that my harp music can help you create festive atmosphere in your homes. It has been a year since I released my third album - Christmas Harp. Christmas music is special. Just like treasured family ornaments come out of the boxes and are carefully placed on the Christmas tree, mom's best china placed on the dinning table, treasured recipes past from generation to generation, Christmas music comes out as well. There is something magical about it that helps us get into the festive spirit year after year! So if you don't have my CD yet or you already lost it, I have a few! If you are interested in a physical copy, let me know and I am happy to mail it to you or have it available for pick up. It makes for a great present too! November 2021 Newsletter

Dear friends of harp music, I hope you enjoyed the beautiful October weather as we are moving into the cold months! I enjoyed October weddings especially the outdoor ones and performances like Turandot with the Ozarks Lyric Opera when friends from Columbia came to see me! Well, new month being here, there are only a few events I want to invite you to, as I will be gone to Slovakia a good part of the month. Harp and Healing - tomorrow night - Tuesday November 2nd at 5.30pm at the BCC Sanctuary. This monthly service focuses on healing in every form - physical, emotional, relational. 45 minutes of spoken word and prayers by our minister Terry Overfelt and live therapeutic harp music. We are moving from outdoors to the main Sanctuary where we have enough space to safely gather. Face masks are encouraged. Missouri Academy of Music Virtuosi concert - this Friday November 5th at 7.30pm.  It's a joint concert with the visiting Collegedale Academy Chamber orchestra from Tennessee. The two ensembles will be performing separately and together. We hope you all can join us at 7.30pm at Broadway Christian Church Sanctuary this Friday! Free and open for all.
