Dear friends of harp music,
I hope you had blessed Thanksgiving spent with family! My family and I traveled to Chicago to spend time with friends. We had a wonderful time visiting the Science and industry museum and the Art Institute and just looking around!
The final month of 2019 is here and I would like to invite you to the following events I am involved in this December:
Blue Christmas, Tuesday December 3th, 5.30pm, Broadway Christian Church Sanctuary. This is our Christmas Harp and Healing special. December can be a wonderful month filled with joy and excitement with anticipation of Christmas, but for some this month is extra hard. The loss of a loved one, divorce, illness… If your pains and burdens seem especially heavy, join us for this solemn, reflective and meditative event. We will have live harp music, meditations of our ministers and a special guest artist from St.Louis Vesna Delevska live painting during the event. Free and open for all!
As you may know I have released a new album! It’s called Christmas Harp and it has my favorite Christmas tunes specially arranged for harp! I will be selling my CDs at every event this month, but CDs are also available at Clovers locations and The Music Suite locally. You can also listen, download or order them on my website or anywhere you go to for downloading music:
I will be taking my harp to visit several clubs and service groups this month as well, appearing at the King’s Daughters on the 11th, Columbia Newcomers Club on the 12th, and Kiwanis Club on the 17th.
On December 14th I will be playing at the Blackwater Christmas Festival between 1.30 and 3.30pm at the Iron Horse Hotel and Restaurant, it’s a charming little historic town not far away, come by to support their event!
My flutist Brooksie Collins and I will present our annual Christmas Concert at Lenoir Woods on December 17th at 6pm.
I will also be playing in several churches for their Christmas season services:
December 8th – First Presbyterian Church 11am, December 22nd Broadway Christian Church 9am and 11.15 am, Christmas Eve at 7, 9 and 11 pm at Missouri United Methodist Church.
Here in Columbia, the Missouri Symphony will present The Symphony of Toys concert on Sunday December 15th at 3pm. Great time to bring the whole family, whether you are 5 or 95, there will be wonderful Christmas tunes, great musicians, my step daughter Chloé Trevor as a soloist and my husband Kirk conducting. Kids get in free!
Hope to see you during this Holiday season!
