April 2021 Newsletter

Dear friends of harp music,

I hope you had a relaxing spring break! The lovely spring weather these days makes our lives brighter, doesn’t it? I am enjoying spending more time outdoors with my family and seeing the flowers and trees bloom!
This warm weather allows us to gather safely outdoors, so I would like to invite you to tonight’s in person Harp and Healing service at Broadway Christian Church – outdoor  worship area next to the parking lot. If you experienced loss, hardship or illness – this service is for you. If you just want to come and enjoy the relaxing music and the uplifting of the spirit – this service is for you.
Free and open for all – 5.30pm tonight.
If you can’t make it, the video will be posted later this week on BCC YouTube Channel as well as on my website. We have been recording these services this past year and plan to continue to do so, so you can find them online anytime!
After 13 long months of not playing in an orchestra, I am finally back to playing with the Springfield Symphony this weekend! I am very excited to play with an ensemble again. The SSO was able to have a regular performance season, albeit with reduced instrumentation – less people on stage, physically distanced and masked.
Finally there is room for harp to be back, performing Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier Suite.
I am grateful for a mention in the COMO magazine this month, here is the link to the article if you are interested to read it:
My harp studio is doing really well, my young students are preparing for a harp competition in KC this month and my adult students are enjoying their hobby! I have room for one more student as I have one of my rental lever harps back and available. I have a one month
“Try it out” package available that includes 4 half hour lessons and harp rental for $180. Let me know if this is something that might interest you or your child!
With the wedding season upon us and so many weddings rescheduled from last year, my calendar is filling up again. I am booking for this fall and next season 2022 as well. I am available to travel and enjoy getting to go to new places. The “have harp, will travel” motto will take me to play at this beautiful chapel in AR on September 5th. Thorncrown Chapel
My calendar can be found here Calendar | Maria Duhova Trevor, Harpist (mariaharp.com), if you know of anyone getting married who would enjoy harp music for their wedding ceremony, I would appreciate your referral.
My music – three albums Romantic, Healing and Christmas harp can be found on iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, Apple music, Amazon Music and Deezer. For physical CDs please contact me. Thank you for your support downloading or streaming!
Thank you and have a great month!
Maria
